On July 24, 2020, at the Corporation Head Office, the Corporation held an online exchange on self-reading culture with the topic “Reading culture, Self-study culture with the development of enterprises”. The Corporation invited speakers to exchange and share opinions with employees in the Corporation about good and valuable books on the last Friday of the month.

Mr. Bui Hoai Son – Associate Professor, Doctor, Director of National Institute of Culture and Arts has attended and shared at the event.

Mr. Nguyen Van Sang – Secretary of Party Committee, CEO with Council Members, Deputy General Director, Member of the Trade Union of the Corporation, all employees of the Agency, Employees in the TCT units have online attendance on 29 servers.

Prof.Dr. Bui Hoai Son expressed his opinion on the current situation of reading and self-study culture. The undeniable fact is that reading is on a declining trend, especially among young people. The advent of Internet with its utility has helped and created a new reading method which shift the reading culture to the audiovisual culture. A limited time budget, nowadays, fast reading, short reading, and thin book reading are one of the criteria that readers aim to choose, these lead to poor thinking Reading is one of the best ways to relax, accumulate knowledge and enhance thinking abilities. However, recently, most of readers are dominated by technology and pay less attention to reading. Since then, the reading culture is also limited. The lack of knowledge from the internet, coupled with the disparity of knowledge in schools and the requirements of society in work, has resulted in difficulty in finding jobs, adapting to working environment or a lack of breakthrough in thinking and in spiritual lifestyle. Associate Professor has also introduced good models, solutions and ways to improve the spirit of self-study culture in the business today towards the comprehensive development of “The true – The Good – The beautiful”.

At the online seminar, 3 representatives from branches of the Corporation raised questions to Prof.Dr. Bui Ngoc Son and received valuable suggestions to apply to the actual situation of the application. These are: 1- Raising awareness about the meaning and value of reading and self-study. 2- Renovating bookcases, libraries and reading places. 3- Leaders are examples in daily reading. 4- Examinating and supervising gradually become a positive habit of employees, contributing to improving knowledge, expanding visions, sharpening skills, thinking and enriching the spiritual life of comprehensive following The True – the Good – The Beautiful, improving the quality of human resources to meet the needs of rapid and sustainable development.

Mr. Nguyen Van Sang – Secretary of Party Committee, CEO declared at the exchange seminar “Reading culture, Self-study culture with the development of enterprises” that “this is a skill, we must learn about the society, the standard of living, how to cultivate knowledge.
