In the morning of May 16, in Hanoi, following activities in response to the appeal of the General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong on the 20th anniversary of “Voluntary Blood Donation Day”, the Youth Union of Vietnam Coal – Mineral Industry delegation in collaboration with Coal – Mineral Hospital and Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion organized a voluntary blood donation event with the message “TKV youth sharing hearts”.

The event was pleasured to have the presence of Mr. Nguyen Hoang Trung – Corporation Deputy General Director, Mr. Tran Quang Luong – Director of Coal – Mineral Hospital, Mr. Trinh Hai Cuong – Deputy General Director, Mr. Tran Van Dung – Deputy General Director of Mining Chemical Corporation, representatives from the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and more than 200 volunteers, youth union members of 18 grassroots groups under the Youth Union of TKV Group in Hanoi.

Speaking at the event, Corporation Deputy General Director Nguyen Hoang Trung emphasized, responded to and implemented the appeal of General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong to encourage the people to donate blood, simultaneously continue the success of the first volunteer blood donation program recently held by Quang Ninh Coal Union, the Group’s leaders strongly support and faciliate for the Youth Union of TKV Group to organize and get best results from the voluntary blood donation program. He also acknowledged and highly appreciated the volunteering spirit, the enthusiasm participation of the youth union members from all subsidiaries.

Secretary of the Youth Union of TKV Group Do Manh Thang declared, notwithstanding that this is the first time the Youth Union of the Group has organized a voluntary blood donation program, with the determination and impulse of youth, the number of youth union members of affiliated Youth Unions participated very actively, many branches registered exceeded the expectation’s number. Thanks to efficient propagating on social networks and promulgating to the local authorities, in the morning of May 16, with the participation of many staffs, youth union members of the branches in Hanoi, many locals registered to voluntarily donate blood.

on May 16, sending the message “TKV youth sharing hearts”, there were 160 staff members, youth union members and volunteers out of 200 registered names met the qualities to donate blood, bringing in large number of blood units.

The Voluntary Blood Donation Program of the Youth Union of the Corporation has shown the impulsive spirit of TKV youth, actively responding to the appeal of the General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong, also aroused the spirit of solidarity, showing the beautiful magnanimous culture contributing to ensure blood reserves for treatment and emergency during this in-short-of-blood time.
