Amoni Nitrate Porous particles
Ammonium nitrate in porous granular form: Ammonium nitrate is granulated in the form of a spherical has low density because there are many capillaries inside, so it has high oil adsorption capacity.
To create porous particles of Ammonium nitrate, the molten amonium nitrate solution is pumped to the top of the granulating tower and mixed with a porous substance and coated to prevent getting clotted during storage and transporting.
The ammonium nitrate porous particles produced by the Vinacomin Mining Industry Corporation is used effectively as a raw material in the production of ANFO explosives, NTR 07 bulk emulsion explosives or in bulk emulsion explosives packer NTR 08
NTLT explosives are produced by Vinacomin – Mining Chemical Industry Corporation and are allowed to be used in industry according to the Decision No. 6368 / QD-BCT dated December 3, 2008 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

3. Safety in storage and transportation
-
- Fire hazard characteristics
Ammonium nitrate is a strong oxidizing agent. When exposing to combustible materials or organic substances may cause fire.
- Flammability of the product: can ignite at high temperatures
- Automatically ignites at: 300 0 C (572 0 F)
- Flash point: (closed cup): higher than 93.3 0 C (200 0 F)
3.1 Explosive hazard characteristic
Ammonium nitrate is an oxidizing agent and is capable of spontaneously igniting / exploding when exposing to metal powder and some organic substances such as urea and acetic acid.
- Pure ammonium nitrate can explode when sealed at high temperature Ammonium nitrate in organic materials increases the risk of explosion.
- The chloride trace reduces the detonation temperature significantly. Many metal ions act as catalysts for the thermal decomposition of ammonium nitrate
- Free NH3 (pH> 4.5) reduces the risk of decomposition.
- The presence of water will slow down the breakdown of ammonium nitrate and possibly eliminate its explosive potential.
- Fire fighting
Any method based on the principle of fire sealing (for example with CO2 or foam) will fail because ammonium nitrate contains and releases enough oxygen to sustain the flame.
When solid ammonium nitrate forms a small fire, the first thing must do is pouring in a lot of water to dissolve the AN solids, so the fire can be extinguished. The fire should be ventilated as much as possible to quickly dissipate the heat from the combustion. When the solid amonium nitrate burns heavily, do not pour water over the entire AN pile, since the temperature of the reaction will dry the nitrate in the solution and create a crust on the pile and pressure will rise in that AN pile.
After extinguishing the fire, the most essential step is to thoroughly cleanse with water. All remaining surfaces of the equipment should be sprayed with water and cleaned. The use of carbon tetrachloride or acidic fire extinguishers is prohibited, as ammonium nitrate contamination of these substances is dangerous (explosive)
